Innovative graduate development for future dietitians
Final year students of Dietetics and Nutrition at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and Trinity College Dublin (TCD) are the first group to take part in a truly innovative graduate development programme aimed at preparing them for their future professional roles.
This inaugural programme has been developed through a partnership between Abbott Nutrition Ireland, Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI), DIT and TCD. The event took place in the new Greenway Hub on the DIT Grangegorman Campus, which is home to the Environmental Sustainability and Health Institute (ESHI). During the two-day programme, this new generation of health professionals received wisdom and guidance that will help them to step straight into their professional roles.
Fiona Burke, Country Manager for Abbott Nutrition Ireland, said "Abbott Nutrition is delighted to be part of this new and innovative partnership programme designed specifically to support graduates' development. The programme objective is to build a greater level of self-awareness for the participants, along with insights about their own abilities and how they can best contribute to a cross-disciplinary team and ultimately to patients' well-being.
