Crème Brûlèe

Approximate nutrient content per serving (117g):



  • 1½ bottles of Ensure® Plus Vanilla (300ml)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar (for topping)


  1. Preheat oven to 150°C / 300°F / Gas Mark 2
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs and 2 tablespoons of sugar together until smooth
  3. Using a wooden spatula, fold Ensure® Plus and vanilla extract into the egg mixture
  4. Pour mixture into 4 ramekins or cups
  5. Place ramekins in a ovenproof dish and pour water into the dish until the water is halfway up the side of the ramekins
  6. Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes or until the brûlée 'wiggles' slightly
  7. Remove the ramekins from the water and refrigerate until chilled
  8. When ready to serve, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sugar on the top of each ramekin
  9. Place ramekin under the grill until the sugar caramelises and becomes light brown
  10. Serve
