Vanilla Scones

Approximate nutrient content per serving (66g):



  • 1 bottle of PaediaSure® Plus Fibre vanilla (200ml)
  • Self raising flour (450g)
  • White sugar (50g)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Margarine (185g)
  • Whole milk (50ml)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sieve together the flour, sugar and salt
  3. With a knife, cut the margarine into small chunks and add to the flour mixture
  4. Work the flour mixture with your fingertips until a breadcrumb texture is formed
  5. Add PaediaSure® Plus Fibre and milk, small amounts at a time, until a firm dough is formed
  6. Roll out onto a floured surface and cut the dough into round circles, approximately 1 inch thick
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes
  8. Serve either warm or cold

Serving suggestions:

  • Top with butter, jam and cream
  • Try throwing a handful of chopped raspberries or blueberries into the mixture before baking
