This new eLearning resource, which has been endorsed by the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and by the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), highlights the importance of understanding the changing NHS environment and who healthcare professionals should engage with (and how), to ensure their professional voice continues to be heard.

Based on a symposium held at BAPEN’s annual conference in 2017, this educational resource will enable healthcare professionals to:

  • Understand the current healthcare and prescribing environment
  • Understand how the healthcare environment is changing and who healthcare professionals need to engage with to ensure their professional voice continues to be heard
  • Gain practical ideas for compelling communications to influence colleagues

Three experts in their field feature in this e-learning resource:

Anne Holdoway

Anne is a Consultant Dietitian with 30 years of experience in different industries. She is currently working with different organisations and inspiring dietitians across the UK. She presents an overview of the NHS’ situation and highlights key statistics, facts and figures on the cost of malnutrition to the NHS, and the need to show clinical and economic outcomes.

Judy Willits

Judy is a Healthcare Consultant with experience in various sectors focusing now in NHS policy and commissioning, marketing and communications, and NHS training. She describes the future healthcare environment and its key players. She explains the financial challenge the NHS is facing.

Philip Graves

He gives some practical advice on how to make an impact on people in order to positively influence and shape activities.
