Specialized peptide-based liquid formula

PediaSure® Peptide 1 Cal is a ready-to-drink peptide-based liquid formula for children with impaired gastro-intestinal function. It offers flexibility to meet nutritional needs both orally or as a tube feeding. For children with: GI disease: pancreatitis (acute or chronic) or pancreatic insufficiency; cystic fibrosis; Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or short bowel syndrome; HIV/AIDS-associated enteropathy; celiac disease; gastritis, duodenitis, enterocolitis; dumping syndrome; GI fistulas. GI intolerance symptoms: gas, bloating, diarrhea, and abdominal distention. Acute GI dysfunction: critical illness; trauma; burns; sepsis; post-transplant surgery; post-gastric surgery. Impaired GI function: abdominal and other surgeries; certain cancer treatments; generalized malabsorption; general intolerance to polymeric feedings; cerebral palsy. Can be used: As a supplement or as a sole source of nutrition; For early enteral feeding; As the source of enteral nutrition for dual feeding (parenteral + enteral); For transition from total parenteral nutrition (TPN) to enteral nutrition; For trophic feeding. For oral or tube feeding use.
