Features

DHA, an Omega-3 fatty acid that supports the normal physical development of the brain and eyes.¹
Lutein, an antioxidant found in breast milk and concentrated in the infant brain and eyes.^2,3,4 Recent studies show that lutein may have a role in visual and cognitive development.⁵
Vitamin E, an antioxidant found in breast milk.^6,7 - Similac® Advance® uses natural vitamin E,^* the most abundant form found in breast milk and in the infant brain.^6,7,8,9,*
Galactooligosaccharides (GOS), a type of oligosaccharide and dietary fibre, that:
- Help promote softer stools, similar to those of breastfed babies.¹⁰
- May support the growth of good bacteria in the baby’s intestinal tract.^11,12

PRECAUTIONS

Never use a microwave oven to warm formula; serious burns can result. Test temperature before feeding to avoid scalding the baby’s mouth.

Preparation

Directions for Use:

Your baby’s health depends on carefully following these directions. Proper hygiene, preparation, mixing and storage are important when using infant formula. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm. Use as directed by your health care professional.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Sterilize equipment and water
- Place washed bottles, nipples, rings, caps and all preparation equipment in boiling water and keep at a rolling boil for 2 minutes.
- In another pot, boil water at a rolling boil for 2 minutes. Cool to room temperature prior to mixing.
Prepare formula – Must add water
- Clean top of can. Shake well before opening.
- Pour equal amounts of concentrated liquid formula and boiled, cooled water into bottle. (See Mixing Guide)
Cap bottle; shake well; attach nipple. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.

Cover prepared bottles and opened cans and refrigerate immediately; use within 48 hours.
Store unopened cans under normal room temperature conditions.
