Liquid human milk fortifier

For preterm or low-birth-weight infants who are nourished with human milk and require fortification to meet their high nutritional needs. To extend the volume of preterm human milk if mother’s milk supply is limited.1 Can be mixed with human milk and fortified human milk to a variety of caloric densities. Suitable for mixing with any Similac® Special Care® preterm infant formula using the Similac Liqui-Mix™ System to a variety of caloric densities. For oral or tube feeding use. Use under medical supervision.

Preparation
  • Directions for Use:

    Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing Fortified Human Milk. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm.

    1. Add fortifier to desired quantity of human milk, fortified human milk or to any Similac® Special Care® preterm infant formula using the Similac Liqui-Mix™ System as specified by a health care professional.
    2. Gently swirl to mix.
    3. Warm as per usual nursery practices.
    4. Cover and refrigerate unused liquid fortifier after opening; use within 24 hours or discard.
    5. If feeding is not used immediately, cover prepared mixture and store in refrigerator. Use within 24 hours1 or according to hospital procedure.
    6. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard. For tube feedings, hang for no more than 4 hours.

Preparation

    Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing Fortified Human Milk. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm.

    1. Add fortifier to desired quantity of human milk, fortified human milk or to any Similac® Special Care® preterm infant formula using the Similac Liqui-Mix™ System as specified by a health care professional.
    2. Gently swirl to mix.
    3. Warm as per usual nursery practices.
    4. Cover and refrigerate unused liquid fortifier after opening; use within 24 hours or discard.
    5. If feeding is not used immediately, cover prepared mixture and store in refrigerator. Use within 24 hours1 or according to hospital procedure.
    6. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard. For tube feedings, hang for no more than 4 hours.1

Preparation
  • Directions for Use:

    Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing Fortified Human Milk. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm.

    1. Add fortifier to desired quantity of human milk, fortified human milk or to any Similac® Special Care® preterm infant formula using the Similac Liqui-Mix™ System as specified by a health care professional.
    2. Gently swirl to mix.
    3. Warm as per usual nursery practices.
    4. Cover and refrigerate unused liquid fortifier after opening; use within 24 hours or discard.
    5. If feeding is not used immediately, cover prepared mixture and store in refrigerator. Use within 24 hours1 or according to hospital procedure.
    6. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard. For tube feedings, hang for no more than 4 hours.1

Preparation
  • Directions for Use:

    Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing Fortified Human Milk. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm.

    1. Add fortifier to desired quantity of human milk, fortified human milk or to any Similac® Special Care® preterm infant formula using the Similac Liqui-Mix™ System as specified by a health care professional.
    2. Gently swirl to mix.
    3. Warm as per usual nursery practices.
    4. Cover and refrigerate unused liquid fortifier after opening; use within 24 hours or discard.
    5. If feeding is not used immediately, cover prepared mixture and store in refrigerator. Use within 24 hours1 or according to hospital procedure.
    6. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard. For tube feedings, hang for no more than 4 hours.1
